Biochemical Domestic Sewage Treatment Unit
1. General introduction
The Biochemical Domestic Sewage Treatment Unit has been examined and satisfactory tested in accordance with the International Maritime Organisation Resolution MEPC.159 (55) to meet the operational requirements referred to in regulation 9.1.1 of Annex IV of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973/1978.
2. Basic principle
The Biochemical Domestic Sewage Treatment Unit consists of 5 water tight tank bodies. These 5 tank bodies respectively aeration tank, 1st stage contact tank, 2nd stage contact tank, settlement tank and sterilization catchment tank etc.
