BS 6883 Flame Retardant Power & Control Cables are designed for fixed wiring in ships and on mobile offshore units, suitable for use in power and control applications.

3.3KV BS 6883 Armored Flame Retardant Power & Control Cable is designed for use in fixed wiring on ships and offshore platforms and drilling rigs, especially used where life may be endangered by smoke and noxious fumes, and where sensitive equipment may be damaged by acid forming gases.

3.3KV BS 6883 Armored Flame Retardant Power & Control Cable construction

1. Conductor: Tinned copper wire stranded circular cl. 2 BS 6360/IEC 60228.
2. Insulation: HF-EPR GP5 according to BS 7655 1.2.
3. Inner Sheath: Halogen free thermosetting compound SW4 according to BS 7655 2.6 or reduced halogen thermosetting compound SW2 according to BS 7655 2.6.
4. Armour: Galvanized steel wire braid or tinned bronze wire braid (single core).
