IEEE 1580 type P 1kv Power Cable is suitable for use in commercial marine applications, MODU's & Platforms, onshore and offshore drilling platforms, FPSO, etc.

Type P Cables are specifically designed for installation and use in harsh environments found within offshore and onshore drilling rigs. These extreme environments may include severe cold, high heat, constant vibration, drilling mud, mechanical stress, and salt corrosion.

Power circuit up to 2kV, Lighting circuits, Trace heating circuits- Fixed installation power & lighting in both explosion risk and safe areas, general purposes, emergency & critical systems- Designed and constructed for demanding environments and petroleumfacilities located throughout the world

• Lower dielectric constant and higher insulation resistance reduces electrical losses.
• Excellent resistance to moisture produces stable electrical properties throughout the life of the cable.
• In fire conditions, non chlorinated flame retardant system produces less toxic and less corrosive gasses.
• Dual certified IEEE 1580 Type P and UL 1309/CSA C22.2 No. 245 Type X110.
• Highest ampacity ratings: ABS 100°C, DNV 95°C, LRS 95°C, Transport Canada 95°C
• Severe cold durability: exceeds CSA cold bend/cold impact (-40/-35° C)
